How to claim

First, you’ll need an Uber or Uber Eats account linked to your NHS or HSC email address.

Once you are signed in with your NHS or HSC address:

To claim your free rides

Due to very high demand, all of the 200,000 free rides covered by Uber for NHS staff have now been claimed.

To claim your free meals

Due to very high demand, all of the free meals covered by Uber Eats and Mastercard® have now been claimed by NHS staff.

Keep an eye on this space for further updates on this.

Things to know

  • To make sure the rides and Uber Eats meals go as far as possible, you’ll be able to claim up to 10 rides and 2 meals per week.
  • Uber will pay the trip fare up to £15. If you go over, you will be charged the difference. The discount will be applied automatically at the end of your trip. The promotion applies at the end of the trip, so while the fare estimate might be £10-12, this will be free after the promotion.
  • Uber Eats will pay for your meal up to £13.50. If you go over, you will be charged the difference.
  • For Uber Eats orders, be sure to apply the code we shared with you on our latest email.
  • The codes will be updated each week.
  • The discount codes will end when all 140,000 Uber Eats orders and 200,000 Uber trips are claimed.
  • Click 'Sign Up' at the top right of this page. Register with your NHS or HSC email address in order to benefit from the free rides and meals.

  • Using the Uber app:

    1. Tap on the menu on the top left of the app
    2. Tap on your profile picture
    3. You can now view and edit your email address

    Using the Uber Eats app:

    1. Tap 'Account'
    2. Tap 'View Account'
    3. Tap 'Edit Account'
    4. Tap on your email address to edit it
  • Using the Uber app:

    1. Tap on the menu on the top left of the app
    2. Tap 'Wallet'
    3. Tap 'Add promo code'
    4. Enter voucher code

    Using the Uber Eats app:

    1. Tap 'Account'
    2. Tap 'Promotions'
    3. Tap 'Add Promo'
    4. Enter voucher code
  • This is the email address you use at work, which typically ends in @nhs.net, @nhs.uk, @hscni.net or similar. If you have any issues linking your email address, please get in touch via the Help section of your app.

  • Make sure your Uber account is tied to the email address you entered on this website.

    For Uber Eats orders, be sure to apply the code we shared with you on our latest email.
