Whether you’re travelling en masse for a night out on Call Lane, being whisked away to sunny escapes via Leeds Bradford Airport or moving house, it’s safe to say we all like a little more room now and again.

Pursuers of personal space, we’ve been listening! Riding with Uber just got a whole lot bigger.

Starting today, January 19th, you can request a ride with seating for up to six people in Leeds at the touch of a button.

Taking the first uberXL ride today was UK Garage producer and Kiss Radio DJ TS7!

UberXL in Leeds will cost £1.95 per mile with a minimum fare of £5. See how this sizes up with some example trips below:

Let’s go big! How do I request?

Request your larger ride in-app as normal by selecting XL on the vehicle icon slider. You can expect vehicles including VW Sharan or Ford Galaxy. Availability may initially be limited as we expand.

Still riding uberX? To keep waiting times low, you may get an uberXL vehicle sent to you – rather than the normal Toyota Prius or equivalent – at no extra cost.

UberXL means you’ll literally get more for your money wherever you need to be. Now you can go big and go home!
