Cardiff uberX fare change breakdown

  • This change in fare only applies to uberX journeys from Cardiff and South Wales (excluding Newport). For these trips, riders will be charged an additional 50p per mile travelled over 8 miles. Trips from Newport are not impacted by this change.
  • Our uberXL fares will remain the same with no extra charge being applied to journeys that are over 8 miles.
  • This surcharge is exempt from dynamic pricing. This means that even if fares are above the normal rate, you’ll still only pay an additional 50p per mile travelled over 8 miles.
