Pursuers of personal space, we’ve been listening! Riding with Uber just got a whole lot bigger. Say hello to uberXL – go big and go home!

Starting today, 11th March we’re giving you the perfect solution for getting you and your friends from home to the Cathedral Quarter on a Saturday night, for carting all that snazzy new flat-pack furniture home or for whisking you and the family to the airport for your summer holiday.

What is uberXL?

uberXL is the spacious, convenient and low cost option for large groups. Starting today, you can request an uberXL ride for up to 6 people.

How much does it cost?

You can get a fare estimate in the app before you ride.

Let’s go big! How do I request?

Request your larger ride in-app as normal by selecting XL on the vehicle icon slider. You can expect car types including the Volkswagen Transporter or Mercedes Vito. Availability may initially be limited.

Still riding uberX? To keep waiting times down, you may get an uberXL vehicle sent to you – rather than the normal Skoda Superb or equivalent – at no extra cost.

uberXL means you’ll literally get more for your money wherever you need to be. Now you can go big and go home!
