Need a Premium Electric Vehicle?
Drivers are welcome to purchase their own premium electric vehicle (EV). However, Uber recognizes that EVs are expensive and has partnered with Hertz to unlock 50,000 Tesla Model 3s specifically for Uber drivers.
To date, more than 25,000* drivers have rented a Tesla through this program – and they’re making a real impact. Together they’ve completed more than five million fully-electric trips, driven over 40 million electric miles, and saved 5.7M gallons of gasoline.
You can learn more about the partnership here.

Uber will even provide a $40 credit for you to pick up your rented vehicle!
Driver Feedback and Uber’s Commitment to Sustainability
We’ve received great feedback from riders about Comfort Electric but they’re not the only ones enjoying this new product experience – drivers are too. Drivers eligible for Comfort Electric can earn more per hour as a result of higher fares, gas savings, and an extra $1-per-trip incentive for each trip they complete (up to $4K annually).
With an electric vehicle, you can also say goodbye to gas. Drivers using Uber get access to exclusive discounts home charging options and public charging like exclusive EVgo1 discounts, and others, which help to boost gas savings.
Drivers are making a positive environmental impact: in 2022 alone, EV drivers active on the Uber platform have avoided using over 5.7M gallons of gasoline.
