Lantau Taxi is available with Reserve now

Starting from 20 January 2025,  we will launch the Lantau Taxi ride option for Uber Taxi, offering you another option when travelling on Lantau Island. This option will only be available with Reserve. 
If your pickup and dropoff locations fall within the Lantau Taxi operating areas designated by the Transport Department, you will see the Lantau Taxi ride option in the Uber app (as illustrated in the image below). Requesting a Lantau Taxi ride follows the same steps as other Reserve trips; you can schedule your ride up to 90 days in advance and choose the payment method that suits your needs. 

Are there surcharges for Lantau Taxi Reserve trips?

The estimated price shown in-app is calculated according to the Lantau Taxi fare table and it includes a Minimum Fare, Reservation Fee, 5-minute waiting time plus other surcharges (such as tunnel tolls). Please refer to the below Lantau Taxi fare table.
