Life doesn’t happen in a straight line. It moves in every possible direction—up, down, sideways, backward. Each twist and turn brings a new challenge and experience. Sometimes everything goes exactly to plan but sometimes things get messy. That’s why we’ve created the transportation app that moves with you. A reliable, convenient, and affordable way to get a hold of any situation. So no matter which direction life takes you, you can request a pick up. The only question for you is ‘Where to?’.

1. Open your app
Tap to open the Uber app on your mobile device.
2. Choose your own adventure
Tap the '+' button next to the destination box to add stop(s) at any point before or during your ride. Please be mindful of the fact that your driver will stop 3 minutes per destination. Do you need some more time? Be aware that your trip fare might change slightly because of this.
3. Change on the go
Add, change, or remove a stop from the on-trip screen—accessible from your app home screen.

1. Before or during the trip 
Scroll up and select 'Share Status'. 
2. Enter the contact information
Insert the name or phone number you wish to share trip details with. To pre-select up to 5 contacts to receive your status, select Settings from your app menu. You can also add more contacts manually when sending your trip status. 
3. Confirm and send your trip status 
Send your trip status link manually (via another app, by email, etc) by copying the link that appears at the bottom of your app when you tap Send Status. Your friends and family receive a notification. Opening this notification displays your driver's first name, vehicle info, and your map location in real-time.

1. Before your driver arrives

You’ll see their name, photo, car make and model, and licence plate number—so you know you’re hopping in the right car. The Uber app allows you to text or call your driver from an anonymised number to communicate any particular details about your pick up.

2. While you're on your way

Swipe up to see more details and fun facts about your driver. During your trip you can check your drivers' rating, the compliments he or se received and in what language you can have a chat. Is your driver playing the music you like? Of course you can leave your driver a compliment yourself!

How much cheaper is Uber compared to a taxi?
On average, Uber is approximately 50% cheaper than traditional taxi services in The Netherlands. Please be aware that Uber fares are subject to Surge Pricing.
How does Surge Pricing at Uber works?
There are times when so many people are requesting rides that there aren’t enough cars on the road to help take them all.In these cases of very high demand, fares may increase to help ensure those who need a ride can get one. This system is called surge pricing, and it lets us continue to be a reliable choice.
I tried to take an Uber but it said 'No cars available'. What should I do?
It seems that there were not enough Ubers online at that moment or that we’re not currently active in your city. Please check the map to find out where you can use Uber near you.
What if I requested an Uber in the ‘red zone’ but there were no cars available?
In the red zone, you should normally be able to get an Uber. However, there can be cases where, due to extreme weather, big events or other external factors, it’s harder to get an Uber. We will then advise you to try again in a few minutes.
I live in an ‘orange zone’. Can I still request an Uber?
You can still request an Uber. Requesting in the ‘orange’ zone means you might need to wait a little longer for your Uber to arrive. It can also be the case that there are no cars available, during the night for example. We’re working hard to improve our availability in your neighbourhood.
Looking at the map above, I see that Uber is not available in my neighbourhood. What’s next?

Does Uber provide childseats?
No, Uber doesn’t provide child seats. If you want you’re child to be in a childseat during the trip, you are more that welcome to bring your own.
From what age can I request an Uber?
You can request an Uber if you are 18 years old or above
How does share your ETA work?
When you request a ride and a driver accepts, you can swipe up on your app screen and tap Send Status. This shares your trip details with friends or family. Click here for more information about sharing your trip details.
How do I enter Multiple Destinations to a trip?
You can request that your driver make more than one stop within the app. You simply open the Uber app and tap the “Where To” box and tap the “+” to the right of the box. Tap “Add a Stop” to add your first destination and you can add 2 extra stops to your trip. Tap “Save” and you’re ready to go!
Can I add Multiple Destinations to a trip that already started?
Yes you can add more than one stop. Simply tap the ‘+’ next to the destination to add. To remove one of your destinations, tap the “X.”
