Uber Pool matches people with other riders heading in the same direction, so you can share the cost and reduce congestion by moving more people in fewer cars. You walk a little, you save a lot.

Riders can now plan their public transport journey with real-time information and end-to-end directions right in the Uber app. With just a tap, they can view prices and arrival times of buses, Tubes, trains and trams.

The Driving Hours feature means a driver using the app must take a 6 hour break after 10 hours of time online. Drivers who don’t take a long enough break won’t be able to log in to the app and take trips.

This feature lets riders call for emergency assistance from local authorities directly from the app. Riders can access their real-time GPS location (both on a map and as an address), car make and model, and license plate so these can easily be shared with the local operator.

Let the people you love know where you are. Choose your Trusted Contacts in the app and set reminders to share your trip details with them.

With Uber, you’re always in the know. Our app is designed so drivers and riders know who they’re riding with from the get-go, giving you peace of mind and security. Your driver’s name, licence number, photo, rating and vehicle details are available in your app. Drivers can also choose to share their interests, the languages they speak and compliments from previous riders in their profile.

This feature automatically kicks in when demand for rides exceeds available drivers in an area. An increase in fares encourages drivers to head to the busy area, meaning you can rely on Uber to get a ride.

Every driver that uses the Uber app in the UK goes through an enhanced background check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before they can start driving. This gives riders even more security, safety and peace of mind when you’re taking a trip.

When you travel with Uber, you’re always on the map. With our trip tracker, each ride is GPS-tracked with a record of your driver and route. So you can always see where you’ve been and where you’re heading. From the Uber app, you can also share your journey with anyone you choose. It could be your mum, your friends or a colleague – they’ll be able to see where you are as you ride on our live map.
