A fresh start in Florida

Thanks to support from our driver-partners and riders, statewide ridesharing legislation was passed this spring. This means that Uber is now available everywhere in Florida, and will grant expanded access to safe, reliable transportation across the state.

The new law will help create more earning opportunities and improve mobility options for Floridians. Simply put, though, this means that riders can get a safe, reliable ride anywhere in the state, at any time—from Jacksonville to Key West. For driver-partners, it means they can go online in their hometown or while on vacation at the beach and earn on their terms.

This is just the beginning. We are dedicated to increasing mobility options for people and cities alike. Now that this statewide legislation is in effect, we can continue to do that for the millions of Florida residents and visitors. We’re so excited about what’s to come in Florida!
