Weekend Nights: 8pm - 4am

This periods tends to see the highest rider demand across the entire week as thousands of riders turn to Uber for a ride to get to and from the city from 8pm onwards and into the early hours of the morning.

Weekday Mornings: 5am to 9am

This period captures the morning rush hours when riders in inner suburbs are heading to work and out to the airport.

Weekday Nights: 5pm to 9pm

This period represents the late afternoon rush and is the time when demand can start to ramp up on Fridays and Saturdays. During the week riders are often looking to head home from work and on the weekend they are often heading into the inner suburbs and CBD from home.

  • Different driving jobs offer different opportunities. Some driving jobs have set hours and strict schedules. With Uber, you can decide whether you want to drive frequently or just a short time on the weekend. Previous rideshare experience is not required.

  • Your schedule is up to you. With Uber, you can get paid to drive when you want. You have the flexibility to be a rideshare driver in your city whenever you choose.

  • We make it as easy as possible for you to track your earnings from riders. A monetary amount at the top of your screen will show how much you’re getting paid to drive in your city. Look for helpful tools in the app to give you more details and show you your totals in real time.

  • When you become a driver in your city with Uber, you need to be at least the minimum age to drive there, have an eligible form of transportation, and submit required documents, such as a valid driver’s license. You must also pass a background screening and have at least one year of driving experience with a license.
