City embraces innovation with change to code
Back in October we told you how excited we were to work with Columbus to ensure that the city stays at the forefront of innovation, to better serve consumers and small businesses.
This week, the City Council passed legislation that will make sedan trips more affordable for consumers while expanding economic opportunity for drivers in Columbus. By eliminating a one-hour minimum per trip and removing an hourly fare structure, the City Council unanimously stood up for innovation, consumer choice and the city’s future.
So what does this mean for C-bus? It’s time to move out of our soft launch period and drive full steam ahead into the Columbus market! So far, thousands of riders have experienced a convenient, classy, hassle-free ride in Columbus with UberBLACK. We know availability has been limited at times, but our operations team is hard at work everyday forging more partnerships with Columbus’ best livery companies and drivers. If you haven’t had a chance to try Uber yet, it’s the perfect time of year to grab your first ride – holiday parties, cold weather, travel to the airport, or New Year’s Eve celebrations. With just the push of a button, Uber will connect you with the closest available licensed, professional driver in town, within minutes.
