Dozens of veteran and active military leaders from Student Veterans of America (SVA) gathered at Uber HQ in San Francisco this past weekend for a two-day summit on leadership, technology and bridging the military-civilian divide.
SVA chapter leads participated in a variety of leadership and chapter development activities throughout the course of the summit, including teaming up with Uber employees to brainstorm, develop and present business plans on how to successfully operate and fund local SVA chapters.
The summit featured participation from senior executives at Uber such as Senior Vice President of Business Emil Michael, as well as tech industry leaders from Twitter, Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers, Techstars and Skybox. Admiral Eric T. Olson, USN Retired and UberMILITARY Advisory Board Member, delivered the keynote address Saturday morning.
