Reaching Destinations
Tommy Pierucki

People who drive with Uber realize that it’s flexibility with the touch of a button. And only they decide when they’re ready to call it a day.

They’re the sons and daughters of Hawaii. They’re the ones you grew up with and know like family. There’s no typical Uber driver-partner as one of our recent studies found. In fact, 50% of people that drive with Uber drive fewer than 10 hours a week on average. 61% of driver-partners have a full-time or part-time career outside of Uber.

Here in Hawaii, driver-partners come from all over Oahu and Maui. From teachers living in Town to retirees from Windward and entrepreneurs from Central Oahu, Uber’s driver-partners are a reflection of the whole community. On the Valley Isle, we also see a wide range of people from around the island from Upcountry to West Maui. The flexible income opportunities found via the Uber app continue to transform how people think about transportation and their personal goals.

Take a look at where our driver-partners are coming from:

As part of our ongoing investment and commitment to our partners from around the state, we are announcing the grand opening of our Partner Support Center here in Honolulu.

This office will be a place where those interested in driving can ask questions, learn to use the app, and meet with Uber representatives in person. We couldn’t be more excited help the residents of Hawaii reach their destinations both on the road and in life. Uber on!
