Hunger affects communities across the United States, and Philadelphia is sadly no exception: hundreds of thousands of Philadelphians suffer from food insecurity. That’s why we are proud to play a role this year in Philadelphia’s largest Thanksgiving Basket Program to provide holiday meals for families in need, organized by our partners at the Urban Affairs Coalition and Brown’s ShopRite.

As the program’s official transportation partner, Uber is providing access to free and discounted rides for the community groups picking up the baskets and for the recipient families taking their baskets home. Two thousand Thanksgiving Baskets will be distributed this year to those in need, providing holiday meals for 12,000 people across Greater Philadelphia.
