We asked you a week ago to share your #FiveStarRide with us for the chance to win a free month of Uber. Over the course of the week, riders responded with dozens upon dozens of heartfelt stories of partners who made their trip a #FiveStarRide worth sharing. It was tough narrowing it down to the finalists and we definitely needed your help selecting a winner!

“I spent Saturday afternoon at a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention before calling UBER for a ride home. Sharad was dispatched to me and in typical UBER form, he arrived quickly and was very friendly, so we got to talking about how our day had been thus far. I told him about the fundraiser and the cause and why it is dear to my heart…unfortunately, I am remembering two individuals who committed suicide 3 years ago this month. I gave him a piece of cake from the fundraiser and we continued our lovely conversation and ride home. When we arrived, Sharad put the car in park and said “I don’t have a lot of money but I want to donate to your cause.” He pulled out all the singles he had in his console to give to me. I was so touched by his generosity and thoughtfulness. I couldn’t thank him enough, not just for the monetary donation, but for the consideration and humanity he showed by his gesture. Once inside my house I called my friend (the organizer of the fundraiser) to share my amazing experience. She too was incredibly touched and grateful. Thank you again Sharad…what may seem like a small gesture spoke volumes to your personality, compassion, and general respect you have for others. You are genuinely an awesome person and thanks for the five star ride!”

“I’m a huge fan of uberX and UberBLACK. While my fiance and I use uberX religiously, we love having the option of stepping it up a notch with UberBLACK. In January of this year, my boyfriend proposed and he took me to a fancy restaurant. Although the experience and the meal were superb, one of my most favorite moments of the night was being picked up by a fabulous UberBLACK driver and being driven to the restaurant. We shared our story with the driver and he immediately went into celebration mode; playing great music and sharing in our excitement. We felt like celebrities cruisin’ down Pratt Street alongside the Inner Harbor! Much love.”

“I absolutely loved my driver! Not only was he full of personality and a pleasure to talk to but he was also patient and understanding. Right before he arrived to my location I witnessed a drunken car accident. I had to tell the police what I saw and also had to deal with the belligerent driver from the accident. My Uber driver got out of his car & stood by me the whole time to make sure I was safe. He was patient & didn’t leave me (which I assume any regular taxi driver would). I came home really happy with my first night of Uber experience. I will definitely use Uber anytime I need a ride in the future & will recommend them to all of my friends, family & even strangers!!”
