UCSB is known for its soccer team, and this month the captain of their ’06 National Championship squad, Andy Iro, was drafted to the Uber Santa Barbara team. We’re excited to have him join Uber and to introduce him as our first ever Rider Zero who doubles as a Community Manager. Uber CMs are the face of the city and do everything from customer support to being the creative genius behind on-demand promotions and partnerships with local businesses.

Meet Andy Iro: Community Manager extraordinaire who recently returned to Santa Barbara for his first Big West Conference game since being drafted to the MLS in 2008. From kicking it on the soccer field to kicking it around Santa Barbara, Andy is all about comfort and reliability and with Uber that is exactly what he gets.

He can swiftly get where he needs to go; whether it is to see the Gauchos play Cal Poly, revisit old hangouts like the Funk Zone and Butterfly Beach, or make it to that important business meeting. Great service is what Andy relies on, and that is what Uber delivers.

So travel like a (foot)baller this Halloween weekend and request an Uber the next time you need a ride around town. Take advantage of the $25 uberX flat rate from UCSB to downtown for a better, faster, and cheaper ride than a taxi! And don’t forget to share the good news with your friends and family and stay in touch with Andy and the rest of the team on Twitter and Instagram.

**Demand will be high with all the Halloween festivities, so please be patient and keep trying if you don’t get a ride the first time**
