Uber Comes to Fort Campbell
The wait is over: Uber is coming to Fort Campbell! Starting on Thursday, 09/08/16 at noon, riders will be able to request an uberX or uberXL from base!
Uber has been active in Clarksville since March, and we’re excited about extending service onto base.

We’ve seen again and again that when people have a reliable way to get home safely at the tap of a button—no matter the time or place—they make safer choices. Our study in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) found that 78% of people said that Uber makes their friends less likely to drive after drinking. While we still have a ways to go until that percentage is 100, we know that riders are beginning to think of Uber as a solution for getting home instead of driving under the influence. That’s especially important for soldiers and their families and the entire Fort Campbell community.

How to use the app
- Get started: Sign up to ride with code FORTCAMPBELL & enjoy $15 off your first ride
- Options: You can request uberX (everyday low-cost cars) or uberXL (low-cost SUVs for up to 6 people)
- Convenience: Pinpoint your location in the app & a driver will be ready to pick you up within minutes.
- Safety: You’ll receive details like contact info for the driver and the license plate of the car. You can track the exact location of the driver and share details about your trip.
- Free Rides: Invite friends to sign up for Uber with your personal invite code – you’ll both get a FREE ride up to $20.
