Boulder, Colorado. A changing landscape from summer to winter makes Boulder one of the most captivating cities to visit in Colorado. Rich with art and culture as well as a fantastic food and drink scene, this city has a lot to offer. Take a look at some of our favorite Boulder spots to explore for locals and visitors alike!

Start sippin’ at Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

Spend the morning taking in the beauty of one of Boulder’s local secrets. Fondly just called Dushanbe by locals, the building was sent piece by piece from Boulder’s sister city in Tajikistan.

uberX Fare Estimate from Dushanbe to Salt Bistro ➤ $6-7

Keep it local at Salt Bistro

Salt Bistro opened it’s doors in 2009 on the historic site of Tom’s Tavern. The downstairs bar used to be Boulder’s mortuary and there are still stone stairs that lead to the sidewalk where they used to carry the bodies in and out.

uberX Fare Estimate from Salt Bistro to The Sink ➤ $6-7

Take a seat at The Sink

Head to one of the oldest restaurants in Boulder that’s been in business for more than 90 years. While The Sink may seem like the obvious choice for out-of-town visitors, you may be surprised to learn that Robert Redford worked in at The Sink as a janitor in 1955.

uberX Fare Estimate from The Sink to Mork and Mindy’s House ➤ $6-7

Get your “famous places” fix

Stop by Mork and Mindy’s house or take a stroll down Pearl Street where the movie Catch and Release, starring Jennifer Garner in 2006, was filmed.

uberX Fare Estimate from Mork and Mindy’s House to Boulder Book Store ➤ $6-7

Peruse through a used bookstore

You must check out a used bookstore, since Boulder has more per capita than any other city. Some of our favorites include Red Letter Second Hand Books, Boulder Book Store, and The Bookworm.

uberX Fare Estimate from Boulder Book Store to The Boulder Theater ➤ $6-7

Catch a show at the Boulder Theater

Open since 1906, this landmark of Boulder’s culture has been entertaining us for over 100 years, and has even been designated as a Colorado Historic Landmark. Still need tickets to a show? You can get them on their website.
