You spoke, and your leaders listened. With the stroke of a pen, Nevada became the latest in a growing list of states to embrace smart ridesharing regulations that support innovation, expand economic opportunity, and put consumer choice and safety first.

And this week, we are excited to say that the next step in bringing Uber back to Nevada is complete. The Nevada Transportation Authority unanimously passed regulations to allow Uber to apply for a permit to operate in the Silver State.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without you. Your calls, tweets, and emails made all the difference and supported your elected officials’ efforts to adopt reasonable regulations that work for Nevadans everywhere.

Over the past few months, you have told us why flexible income opportunities and more safe, reliable transportation options are important to you. Your stories about why #NVNeedsUber moved Nevada to bring Uber back. Here are just a few of their powerful stories:

  • Uber driver-partners Migdalia, Edgar and Katrina called on their leaders to help them get back on the road and back to work in this video.
  • As as a combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Steve spent nearly a decade fighting to keep our country safe. As someone who has been personally affected by the perils of drinking and driving, Steve also fights to keep our streets safe.
  • Driven by a common desire to bring Uber back to Nevada, more than 40 Uber driver partners gathered in Reno to share their stories.

And, these are just a few of the voices that spoke out in favor of ridesharing in Nevada.

Because of all of you, Uber is here to stay.

Uber On,

Team Uber Nevada
