Updated: Stand up for Transportation Options in Ri
UPDATE [6.21.14]: We appreciate all of your support, and wanted to give you an update on Uber in Rhode Island.
The Rhode Island General Assembly passed legislation last night to formally explore innovative transportation options. Thank you to Representative John Edwards and Senator Maryellen Goodwin for sponsoring the legislation and promoting consumer choice in RI.
The legislation is a huge step in the right direction. The people of RI were heard – safe, affordable, and reliable transportation options make this great state an even better place to live, work, and play. While the work isn’t over yet, we are optimistic that the Commission will find a permanent solution for innovative transportation options!
[6.11.14]: As you may know, we’ve made great progress towards protecting safe, affordable, reliable transportation options in Rhode Island. However, there’s more work to be done, and we need your help.
The Rhode Island General Assembly is currently considering legislation that would formally explore innovative and affordable transportation options in Rhode Island. This would represent a critical step in promoting consumer choice and making this great state an even better place to live, work, and ride!
