Save uberX! Veto HB 4075.
The people of Illinois have spoken.
Today, Uber Chicago went down to the Thompson Center to demonstrate the impact uberX has made on Illinois. We delivered over 75,000 petition signatures to Governor Quinn’s City of Chicago office to veto HB 4075 and save uberX.
We displayed a portion of signatures who joined us in asking Governor Quinn to support ridesharing. These 10,000 names on our banner only represent 15% of the 75,000 signatures. We would like to thank every one of our supporters and let them know there is still time to take action!
UPDATE: Less than 24 hours later, numbers are already 82,000+ signatures.
If ridesharing is allowed to flourish, the equivalent of tens of thousands of jobs will be created over the coming years as more people ditch their cars in favor of the sharing economy.
There is still time for action to be taken. Governor Quinn has the opportunity to uphold his reputation as a champion for the Illinois consumer.
