A perfect storm swept across Kansas City this St. Paddy’s weekend.
The sudden arrival of Spring weather collided with hoop dreams and green beer to create one of the biggest weekends of the new year. With plenty of reasons to get outside and celebrate, residents and visitors alike needed a lot of safe rides.
To dig into just what impact Uber had on moving people safely, we took a look at trips originating in a few of the city’s favorite party spots this past Saturday.
Over St. Paddy’s weekend alone, Uber KC connected riders with over 10,000 safe trips at the touch of a button.
So as City Council considers how to regulate ridesharing, we need your help to make sure they understand the impact it has on the community. We all agree regulation is necessary, but trying to squeeze ridesharing into a framework designed for taxi is the wrong approach.
