Jefferson Parish Needs Uber!
Jefferson Parish residents – today we wanted to provide you with a quick update on ridesharing in Jefferson Parish. Earlier this month, Jefferson Parish Councilwoman Cynthia Lee-Sheng and Councilman Ben Zahn proposed an ordinance that would create a regulatory framework for uberX — our ridesharing option — and establish a home for ridesharing in Jefferson Parish.
This is a great step forward and a signal that Jefferson Parish supports innovation, and is eager to embrace more opportunity for local drivers and additional options for riders. We need your help to get legislation across the finish line!
Tell the Council You Need Ridesharing in Jefferson Parish
