GETTING TO AND FROM FORECASTLE FEST
Keep the party going while avoiding traffic and parking lot standstills. This weekend, we’ll be on the ground working to make your trip to and from Forecastle smooth.
If you’re looking to catch a ride to or from the Waterfront Park this weekend, here’s what you need to know:
- Heavy traffic and detours around the Waterfront Park may lead to higher-than-expected ETAs
- Your best bet for a smooth pickup is to request from the corner of 1st and Washington
- Once you’re in a good spot, double check to make sure your pickup location is accurate
MAKE IT A WINNING PICK UP
After grooving all day in the park, the night may get blurry. Keep your ride crystal clear by following these steps:
- Confirm your driver. Call your driver if needed, and double check their name and license plate number before you go.
- No IOUs. Fare split your ride with friends and pay just a fraction of the flat rate (we’ll even do the math for you)!
KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT
Our goal is to be the most reliable ride on the road, and sometimes we see such high demand that the number of available cars gets tight. During this time, dynamic pricing will automatically go into effect to encourage more drivers to get out on the road. As demand goes down and more cars free up, the rates will go back to normal.
SO HOW DOES DYNAMIC PRICING WORK?
With dynamic pricing, Uber rates increase to get more cars on the road and ensure reliability during the busiest times. When enough cars are on the road, prices go back down to normal levels. Important details:

| NO SURPRISES Use the Fare Quote option in the Uber app to estimate your fare before you make your request. If dynamic pricing is in effect, your fare quote will always take the current rates into account. |
RIDE WITH CLASS
Before you request, keep your party size in mind:
- Riding with up to 3 friends? Request uberX or uberSELECT
- Riding with a crew of up to 6? Request uberXL
Speaking of party, remember the following are never allowed in the car:
- Drinking
- Smoking
- Illegal substances (duh – it’s the law!)
