The St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Hoboken is a great day to celebrate the luck o’ the Irish while touring the city’s hotspots with good friends. And when you are done enjoying day, Uber will be there to get you home safe.

This year, Uber has partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to continue to reduce drunk driving.

Between 2009 and 2013, there were 276 St. Patrick’s Day drunk driving fatalities nationwide, making it one of the deadliest holidays on the road. Uber would like to help reduce this deadly trend.

“With St. Patrick’s Day celebrations across the state, MADD wants adults to enjoy celebrating the holiday, while planning ahead for how they’ll get home safely if their plans include alcohol. The use of public transit, or ride sharing services like Uber, are an excellent way for people to do just that,”

Brandon English, MADD New Jersey Program Director

Uber drivers will be available all day Saturday in Hoboken to make sure New Jerseyeans finish their St. Patrick’s Day in Hoboken right—by getting home safely.

With an Uber available to get you home with the click of a button, there’s no reason to drive if you’ve had too much to drink. We’re proud of our ongoing partnership with MADD and we’re doing our part to ensure Hoboken residents have a safe ride home this St. Patrick’s Day.

If you or your ride has been drinking, put away your keys and get an Uber.
