Bowling Green, Your Uber is Arriving Now!

We are excited to announce that starting today, uberX will be available in Bowling Green. Beginning at 3pm, residents and visitors will have access to the convenience and reliability of Uber. Whether you’re visiting campus or checking out downtown, let Uber be your ride.

Uber Bowling Green’s very first riders – Telia Butler of the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau alongside Ashlee Wilson and Tonya Matthews of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce – took a spin around the block with Bowling Green driver-partner Rick in his Chrysler 300. When asked about their thoughts on Uber’s launch in Bowling Green, the ladies were more than happy to share their excitement.

“Bowling Green is the third largest city in Kentucky. We’re booming and bustling, and we are very excited that another transportation service option is coming to the city,” Telia enthused. “We hope that this will bring more people to the downtown area and make Bowling Green more accessible.”

Tonya echoed Telia’s sentiments regarding Uber’s launch. “We are very excited to have Uber as our newest Chamber partner. When companies look to move to the Bowling Green area, they look for unique amenities. To have something in Bowling Green like this (that a lot of bigger cities see more often), really gives us a great advantage for economic development and the quality of life for people in our community. Getting Started

To request, first download the Uber app and enter the requested information. Once your account is set up, simply open your Uber app, set the pick up location, and tap request – in minutes you’ll be on your way.

Once your ride is confirmed, you’ll see the name and picture of your driver, the vehicle make and model, and their license plate number. While on your trip, you can even share your ETA with friends to let them know you are on your way!

After the trip is completed, simply exit the vehicle and the receipt will hit your inbox. You also have the option to rate your ride.
