A Step Forward For Transportation Innovation In NOLA

It’s been a long road, but thanks to your voice and overwhelming support, last week, City Council moved legislation forward that paves the way for UberBLACK in New Orleans. While this is a step in the right direction to expand transportation options in The Big Easy, we still have much work to do.

The unnecessarily high minimum fares imposed ignore your need for more affordable alternatives. These mandated fares only deprive residents and visitors access to safe, reliable transportation, and put New Orleans on par with the most expensive markets in the US. You deserve better.

We will continue to work with City Council to bring more affordable ways to get around your city and look forward to meeting the growing demand for greater choice. We’re confident that together we can convince City Council that more competition and more affordable options will only improve your transportation ecosystem.
