As we celebrate facilitating one million trips, we put together some interesting stats about our operations in South Carolina.
Uber’s mission is transportation as reliable as running water. In South Carolina, the average wait time for a ride was under 5 minutes, with nearly 90% of rides arriving in 10 minutes or less. Take a look at our reliability in the five South Carolina cities where Uber is available.
As you can see above, Uber is reliable in communities across all five cities. And since getting a ride has never been easier—especially during the times they’re needed most—South Carolinians are using Uber more and more as an alternative to drinking and driving. Looking at our data by time of day, we see that requests peak during the late night hours when bars often close and also when most alcohol-related crash fatalities occur.
Uber is proud to be a growing part of the Palmetto State and especially excited about the impact our partners can have by providing safe, low-cost rides to residents and out-of-towners. We look forward to driving toward the next million trips!
