In March 2013, UberBLACK launched in Detroit to provide access to a reliable and convenient way to get around the Motor City. Over the past two years, we’ve created an increasingly affordable way to move around Michigan by expanding to six cities and launching the low-cost uberX. We’ve also established a new way for Michiganders to be their own boss and earn income on their own flexible schedule.

We’ve provided Paczki On-Demand in Detroit and Grand Rapids, partnered with Cadillac in Detroit to get you to and from the Auto Show in style, joined MADD in the fight against drunk driving across Michigan, helped a partner in need, Ken, raise over $100,000 for his family.
More than 50% of Michiganders have access to Uber, and they use it most often when it’s the safer alternative for getting home.
Such extensive coverage offers Michigan citizens a smarter alternative to getting behind the wheel if their plans include alcohol, and getting a safe, reliable ride has never been easier.
Across Michigan, we see demand for Uber trips spike during the same hours that alcohol-related incidents typically occur with the highest frequency. Residents and visitors finally have reliable access to another option for getting home safely from a night out with friends.
