RIder Cash Payment Terms

These terms govern your use of cash payments for Uber Rides and are supplemental to and form part of Uber’s General Terms of Service. Cash payments can only be used to pay for Rides and are not currently available for use on Uber Eats. Cash payments are available in select cities.

When selecting cash as your payment method, destinations and stops cannot be changed once the trip begins. If you have insufficient funds, you must switch to an alternative payment method in-app during the ride. You will not be able to book another ride until you settle any outstanding amounts. Any active Uber Cash will be applied to your Ride automatically, unless toggled off in your settings beforehand.

Drivers may not always carry change; if physical change is unavailable, any change due to you will be credited to your account as Uber Cash which you may use for Uber purchases, subject to the following terms.

Tipping is disabled for cash fares, please provide tips directly to your driver and clearly state the amount so they can finalize the fare correctly. For your safety, do not dispute fares with drivers; instead, use the “Get Ride Help” feature in the app. All trips are governed by our Community Guidelines.
