Latest feature updates from Uber for Business

Uber for Business brings the best of Uber to organizations around the globe with a single seamless platform to help you better support and engage the people you employ and serve. We’re continually reviewing and expanding the platform’s capabilities with you in mind, to better meet your unique business needs.

In the past 3 months, we’ve launched numerous products and features rooted in a common goal: helping you finish the year strong. Here’s everything that's new:

Employee meals

  • Schedule recurring orders through meal planning: Schedule and manage recurring group orders for daily in-office lunches for the whole team. Meal planning with Uber Eats simplifies daily ordering for groups, reduces food waste, and satisfies appetites. Learn more about meal planning here.

  • Energize employees with late-night meals: Keep your late-night team fueled with options for their favorite meals. Now set time, day, budget, and item restrictions on a meal program.

  • Simplify group ordering: Order in-office meals for your team by selecting a group size and choosing from a curated list of restaurants that offer “boxed catering”. Group orders are ideal for occasional use, such as a celebration, temporary incentives to encourage a return to office, and more.

Business travel

  • Use Uber Charter on business profiles: Soon, you’ll be able to book charter buses for corporate events or large group gatherings. Create magical in-person moments to celebrate your team. Learn more about Uber Charter hereComing soon.

Vouchers

  • Use vouchers at scale with locked templates: Create predefined voucher templates for coordinators, increasing control over your spending and simplifying distribution. Use locked voucher templates and preset the voucher type, dollar value, and location.
  • Add a personalized message: Soon, you can add a customized message for voucher recipients. Express yourself in multiple languages or by using emojis, with up to 300 characters. Share context or convey heartfelt messages to create a memorable experience for employees, customers, or clients. Learn more here. Coming soon.

Gift cards

  • Buy gift cards from your dashboard: Admins can now purchase gift cards directly from the Uber for Business dashboard. Provide a token of appreciation or a gesture of thanks to customers, clients, or employees in just a few steps.

  • Distribute easily by email: You can also now distribute gift cards directly from your dashboard. Just upload a list of recipient email addresses, and Uber will send them the gift cards.²

Admin dashboard

  • Access deeper insights with a personalized homepage: The redesigned homepage offers a personalized experience based on your org, complete with consolidated activity metrics, visualized data over time, and pending action reminders.

  • Take charge of security with single sign-on: Admins and coordinators can prioritize the security of the Uber for Business platform by integrating with your existing identity provider. Help satisfy internal security compliances while simplifying your login experience. Learn more about single sign-on here. Coming soon.

  • Assign role-based access: Give your team access to programs they need without compromising confidential information. With 3 new roles—sustainability manager, reviewer, and coordinator—you can customize role-based access to fit any organization’s structure. Learn more about the new roles here.

  • Connect employees to a business account: No need to search for invitations—employees can now conveniently set up their account directly in the Uber app. Just go to Account > Business hub > Get started, then enter a verified email address. Connect to your account here.

  • Go mobile with the admin dashboard: Admins can now access the Uber for Business dashboard on the go. Check on activity, invite employees, complete outstanding tasks, and much more, all from your mobile device.

  • View support ticket history: You can now access and reopen previously closed support tickets under “Contact center” within the Help section of the Uber for Business dashboard. You will also receive timely notifications for updates to existing tickets.

  • Offer new employee payment solutions: Employees can now use Uber Cash and iDEAL as a secondary payment method if their ride or meal exceeds their spending cap.

Central

  • Enable riders to cancel trips: Rides requested through Central can now be canceled by riders through SMS.³ This helps reduce missed rides during times that coordinators are unable to assist, such as late at night or over the weekend.

  • Live trip tracking on web On rides requested through Central, riders who don’t have the Uber app will receive an SMS message containing a link that will open a map in a web browser, allowing them to check their exact pickup location and track their trip in real time.

We’re looking forward to seeing how you’ll use these tools to elevate your Uber for Business experience. Follow the link below to your dashboard to try out the new features for yourself.
