With well over twelve million passengers coming and going in 2015, the Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Tennessee is one of the busiest airports in the south. Fortunately, Uber is available in Nashville to help you get around—including to and from BNA. A low-cost uberX is perfect for someone traveling with luggage, and uberXL is an option for those traveling in groups.

Here is some helpful information for your upcoming visit in Nashville:

Tips and Resources for Nashville International Airport

  • Uber Airport Page: For all the details you need on requesting a ride, head over to Uber’s BNA airport page. After you’ve picked up your luggage and selected your vehicle type on the app, you’ll need to go to Level 1, one floor below the baggage claim. Once you’re outside, follow the rideshare signs and cross the street. Should you have any trouble locating your Uber, feel free to call and coordinate.
  • Terminal Map: Travelers should get themselves acquainted with a map of the terminals before getting to the airport, as well as a list of all the dining and shopping options available. If you’re early, have a beer at Tennessee Brew Works over in concourse A/B.
  • Flight Status: Check the status of your flight before leaving the house.
  • Traffic Report: For real-time traffic updates, check out the Tennessee Department of Transportation website. You can also use Waze app on your phone.
  • TSA Guidelines: Before packing, review the TSA’s latest guidelines on what you can’t pack in your luggage.
  • Security Wait Time: Speaking of security, you can view security wait times at BNA here.
  • Airport Info: You can follow BNA on Twitter for all the latest news and updates. There’s also an informative and official Facebook page.

Where to Visit in Nashville

Some of America’s roots are firmly planted in Nashville, and it also has a rich history in entertainment and culture—especially in country music. Here are a few things to do during your stay in Music City USA:

  • The Ryman: Head over to where the Grand Ole Opry started at the Ryman Auditorium. Built in 1892, the Opry began broadcasting their much-loved radio show from the Ryman in 1943, where they remained for the next 31 years. Today, you can still see a veritable who’s who of performers grace the same stage once graced by Johnny Cash, Minnie Pearl, and Porter Wagoner.
  • Loveless Cafe: Many have left the Loveless Cafe, stomach proudly protruding, while proclaiming it as the best breakfast they’ve ever had. Go for the country ham, served with two eggs and red-eye gravy, and have as many of the amazing and much raved-about biscuits as you can eat. The best part? Breakfast is served all day.

The Hermitage: Once the home of president Andrew Jackson, The Hermitage is a step back in time, a plantation and mansion open to the public where you can see how Jackson and his family lived, worked, and entertained visitors. You can take a tour of the main house, stroll through their many stately gardens, and even visit Jackson’s tomb.
