An uberPOOL match adds a few minutes to your trip, but the fare is always cheaper than uberX, regardless of whether you’re paired. 

How to POOL:

1. Choose the uberX option, then set your pickup location as usual.
2. Enter your destination.
3. Save money by sharing your car with another rider and tapping “Request POOL,”
   OR
   Save time by getting your own car and selecting “Request uberX.”

HOW IS MY FARE CALCULATED?

uberPOOL is currently up to 25% cheaper than uberX. Fares are quoted in the app before you request, so you always know exactly what you’ll pay.

CAN I BRING OTHER PEOPLE?

Feel free to bring a friend! Each uberPOOL request has a maximum of 2 riders per pickup.

WHERE IS UBERPOOL AVAILABLE?

Starting today, uberPOOL is available at Newark Airport and in the following parts of Hudson County: Hoboken, Jersey City, Union City, Weehawken, Secaucus, West New York, and Guttenberg.

WHEN IS UBERPOOL AVAILABLE?

24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The key to uberPOOL is being flexible with your arrival time. Sometimes you share a ride with someone else, and sometimes you ride alone. Some days you get picked up first, and some days you get picked up second.

So, have a little time to spare? Jump into uberPOOL and save big. Late to an appointment? You should probably take uberX. Regardless, both options end with a safe and reliable arrival at your destination.
