Meet Margaret
Margaret, a native-born Clevelander, has been working since she was 16, and is currently driving double-time: as an Uber driver-partner and as a shuttle driver for Avis at Cleveland Hopkins. Margaret previously worked in medical transport for adults with special needs and children upon retiring from the county as a social worker. It’s not hard to imagine her as a self-described “people person.”
About a year ago, she and her husband were planning to start their own medical transport company. After sustaining an injury that left her unable to continue the labor-intensive work, that was no longer an option. One night, she saw a TV ad for Uber, and signed up to drive: “Uber came along, came in and fit in perfectly, and took the place of that goal. This is perfect.”
From Taco Bell side trips, to helping pick out a baby shower gift, to pickups at 3am on a Saturday, Margaret goes out of her way to be kind, helpful, and show off her hometown—and people notice:
“Best uber ride! She was so friendly and shared so much fun and interesting facts about the city!”
“Super great driver! Super friendly and we were so thankful having someone drive us so far away!! Thank you Uber! And thank you Margaret!”
“Favorite Uber driver in over two years!!!!”
On behalf of the riders in Cleveland, we want to thank Margaret for keeping people safe and making each ride an impactful, friendly experience.
Brandi
