How autonomous vehicles on Uber work
Once autonomous rides on Uber are live in London, you may be matched with an autonomous vehicle when requesting an UberX, Uber Comfort, or Uber Comfort Electric* from a qualifying location. To increase your chances of getting matched with one, sign up for the interest list in the Uber app.
Follow these steps to sign up for the interest list in London:
1. Make sure you’re using the most up-to-date version of the Uber app available in the App Store or Google Play
2. Open the app and select "Account" in the bottom right corner
3. Choose "Settings"
4. Scroll down to Ride Preferences and select "Autonomous vehicles"
5. Choose "Join interest list" to sign up

How do I add myself to the interest list?
You can join the interest list directly in the Uber app. Here is how to do it:
- Update your Uber app to the most recent version via the app store
- Open the Uber app and tap on Account in the lower right corner
- Tap on Settings
- Scroll down to Ride Preferences and tap on Autonomous vehicles
- Tap the button at the bottom that says Join interest list
