Picking up multiple orders gives you opportunities to make more money. You can pick up orders from the same restaurant.
How fares are calculated
These types of orders mean you can make more money in the time you’re online, but you’ll notice some differences in the payments for these deliveries:
The two orders together only require one pick-up, you will see this as a batch discount on the payment statement. The batch discount is equal to one pick-up fee.
The mileage fee you receive for the second delivery will be paid for the distance between the first and second drop-off locations.
Avoiding order mix-ups
Mix-ups with multiple orders can happen. Here are suggestions from delivery and restaurant partners on how you can prevent them.
When you’re picking up
Let the staff know you’re picking up a batched order. You can also show them the order information on your phone to make it easier.
When you’re dropping off
Try double-checking the orders by confirming them with customers at drop-off.
Questions from couriers
- What if I can’t find my first customer and this causes a delay for my second order?
If you’re unable to find the customer when delivering, you can try calling them. If they don’t answer, you can tap the banner that appears, to indicate that they didn’t answer. This will send them a notification and a timer will begin.
If they don’t contact you by the time the countdown runs out and you follow the prompts to end the delivery, you’ll still get paid for the first delivery and it won’t affect your completion rate. You’ll get paid for your second order when you complete the delivery.
- Can I opt out of receiving batched trip requests completely?
No, the app currently doesn’t have the functionality to opt you out of receiving batched trip requests. However, you can decline to confirm any trip request, including batched trip requests.
