Cash trips and street hails

It's important to know that cash payments for Uber trips are not allowed under the City of Ottawa's bylaw. It's also against the bylaw to solicit or accept requests that are not pre-arranged using the Uber App—like street hails or picking up riders at taxi stands. These actions could result in fines from the City of Ottawa and your account may get permanently deactivated.
