Through an aggressive investment aimed at acquiring and maintaining riders as well as innovative technology in response to rider and driver needs, we’re more committed than ever to unlocking opportunities for all.
To help do this, we’ve launched Uber Go, our best-priced mobility option, and have heavily invested in promotions such as discounted rides to encourage more people to start moving again. Based on our experience, we have found that giving riders more affordable rides, means that drivers will spend more time with paying riders in the backseat and less time sitting idly waiting for a trip request.
Uncertainty still lies ahead as we are still well within a wave of COVID-19 infections, with another expected wave predicted to hit. It is our responsibility to continue to adapt and pivot in response to the changing environment, in order to help drivers continue to earn during these difficult times.
This is where we believe that technology can be adapted quickly in response to the current situation to help assist communities and businesses to operate in the “new normal”. By leveraging our technology to offer additional solutions like Uber Connect, we can also surface earning opportunities when they are available, across multiple vehicle options.
