You can apply for your application receipt by having the below supporting documents:

- Identity document (2 Certified copies)
- SARS Tax Compliance Certificate (2 certified copies)
- Proof of address – NOT OLDER THAN 3 MONTHS (2 certified copies)
- Uber Support letter (Can be retrieved at the GLH)
- Point of Origin Letter (If applicable – Can be retrieved at the GLH)
Cape Town
- Proof of address – Not older than 3 months
- Utility Bill
- Lease Agreement (Personal Rental)
- Permission letter from property owner
- Lease Agreement (Commercial Property)
- Form 10 (Can be found at the Greenlight Hub)

Why do you need an Operating License?
- An operating license authorizes you to use your eligible vehicle for the purposes of road-based public transport services.
- The operating license will reflect the details of the person who is allowed to operate the road-based public transport service, as well as the details of the vehicle it is issued for.
Why do you need an Operating License while on Uber?
- Provided all else is in order, having an operating licence will let you drive, pick up and drop off passengers without being affected by law enforcement i.e. impoundments.
- It is compulsory for you to have an operating license in order to operate on the Uber app.
