Toronto, Mississauga, and Oakville

To drive with Uber in the City of Toronto, City of Mississauga, and Town of Oakville, your vehicle must be 7 years (2011 model year) or newer . To drive with Uber in the City of Toronto (purple area on map), you must have a Private Transportation Company (PTC) licence.

Greater Toronto Area

If you have not received your PTC licence or if you have a vehicle model year between 8 to 10 years old (2007-2009 model year), you cannot pick up riders in the City of Toronto, City of Mississauga, and Town of Oakville—but you can still pick up riders within the GTA. You also may qualify to deliver with UberEATS.

Downtown Toronto Hotspots

Downtown Toronto neighbourhoods are busy areas for requests. Start driving in these popular areas.

  • Liberty Village: King St. West at Dufferin St.
  • Yorkville: Bloor St. West at Yonge St.
  • Financial District: Adelaide St at Bay St.
  • Queen St. West: Queen St West. at Spadina Ave.

Commuting Hours

Monday to Friday, drive during commuting hours to help our city start and end their day.

  • Morning commute: 5am to 10am
  • Evening commute: 4pm to 8pm

Weekend Evenings

Drive downtown on Friday and Saturday nights. Requests may be higher at night than during the week.

  • Friday: 7pm to 3am
  • Saturday: 4pm to 3am
