A Temporary Fuel Surcharge for Driver-Partners

September 29 / Australia

We know that you’ve felt the sting of rising and volatile fuel prices, which has affected how much money you’re taking home.
In an effort to recognise the impact of uncertain fuel costs, Uber will be reintroducing a Temporary Fuel Surcharge on 30 September. Active until 31 January 2023, riders will pay you a surcharge of 3 cents per km (inclusive of GST) on every passenger trip and 100% of it goes directly to you. This means that you’ll get about an extra 25 cents on an average length trip*.
