Driving with Uber at DXB Airport

You can now pick up riders at Dubai Int’l Airport terminals 1, 2 and 3

Great news—Uber will now have a designated pick-up and staging areas at Dubai International Airport (DXB Airport), which means that you will be able to carry out pickups via the Uber App at DXB. 

If you’re planning to accept trips and operate at DXB Airport, keep in mind that airport pickups at all three terminals will work a little differently than normal pickups – if you’d like to learn more to get in on the action, you can consult DXB Airports requirements below: 

How to accept trips

Pickups at DXB Airport

1. Enter the virtual queue

To receive trip requests in any of the 3 terminals at DXB Airport, your vehicle must be in the staging area. Once you are at the staging area, you will be entered into a virtual queue to receive an airport trip request. The staging area will be exclusively dedicated for drivers using the Uber App.

2. Accept a trip request and head to the pickup area

Once you are at the front of the queue, you will receive the next available trip request. In order to meet your rider, follow the navigation to the appropriate pickup location. Pickup locations will vary depending on the terminal your rider has requested from. 

Once you have accepted your trip request and identified the terminal, you can head to the terminal short term car park:

Terminal 1: Upon reaching the below entrance of the short term car park, you can take the left lane.

Terminal 2: There is only one entrance at this terminal, you can proceed directly to the short term car park for ticket collection.

Terminal 3: Upon reaching the below entrance of the short term car park, you can take the right lane.

Once you’ve taken the right lane, you can collect the ticket using either entrances of the short term car park shown below:

3. Locate your rider and exit the airport

Once your rider is in your vehicle, you can begin the trip as you normally would, following the signs to exit the airport.

The Uber App is available to riders heading to DXB Airport.

At DXB Airport, simply drop off riders at their requested terminal. If you’d like to receive a trip request afterward, you can keep the Driver app online and head to the staging area to wait for a request.

Cancellation Policies

1. Rider Cancellation:

If a rider cancels after you’ve left the staging area and while you were on route to the short term car park, you can go back to the staging area to wait for another request, where you will remain at the beginning of the queue. Kindly ensure that you do not proceed to the short term car park to  obtain a parking ticket if you do not have an active trip request.

 2. Driver cancellations

Trip cancellations can take away from the great Uber App experience that both riders and drivers expect. Please remember that drivers who improperly use the Uber App, including excessively canceling rides or asking riders to cancel rides, may lose the ability to receive trip requests to and from the DXB Airport through the Uber App.
