Animal Kingdom makes it easy for tourists to catch an Uber there and back. And with a designated parking lot, it’s easy for drivers to cash in on the action.

Pickup tips for drivers

We have a designated lot at Animal Kingdom where drivers can wait for trip requests at the southern end of the taxi lot.

When you get a trip request from Animal Kingdom, head to the northern end of the taxi lot, where your rider should be waiting.

Pro tip: Call or text your rider to let them know where you’ll be waiting.

Drop-off tips for drivers

The designated dropoff location for riders going to the Animal Kingdom is the taxi lot on the north end of the property.

Due to COVID-19, Walt Disney World has reopened with drop-off restrictions prior to park opening times to minimize crowd sizes at entrance gates.

The Animal Kingdom opens at 8:00 AM daily.  If you arrive more than 30 minutes prior to park opening time, expect delays in accessing the designated rideshare drop-off location.

Despite the delays, drivers and riders should only end trips at the designated location to avoid being cited by law-enforcement.

After 7:30 AM, regular drop-off location access will begin.

Waiting for trip request at Animal Kingdom

When picking up riders, follow these instructions for using the designated Uber lot at Animal Kingdom:

  • Please wait for requests in front of the Costuming and Sports building, off of Sherberth Road.
  • Once in the waiting area, you will automatically be placed into a virtual, first-in, first-out queue as long as you are online.
  • When you receive a trip request, head over to the taxi/disable lot to meet your rider. The in-app navigation will direct you there.
  • Please remain with your vehicle at all times while picking up passengers.
