It has never been a better time to go green

When you choose to drive a fully electric vehicle (EV) on the Uber platform, you may be eligible for the Zero Emissions incentive. Here’s how you can make up to $4,000 extra over a 12-month period.¹

How the Zero Emissions incentive works

From February 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026, eligible drivers of EVs with Diamond Uber Pro status can earn up to $4,000 during this 12-month period with the Zero Emissions incentive.

Incentive opportunity

Drivers with Diamond Uber Pro status can earn an extra $1 on every rideshare trip made in an EV (up to $4,000 over a 12-month period). The 12-month period for this incentive is from February 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026.

Eligibility requirements

Drivers who meet the following criteria can receive the Zero Emissions incentive:

  • Are qualified to complete rideshare trips with Uber under applicable rideshare regulations
  • Provide rideshare trips in a battery electric vehicle
  • Enjoy an Uber Pro status of Diamond

If you don’t meet the criteria, check out the Frequently Asked Questions section below to learn how you can become eligible.

Choosing an EV

The ZappyRide EV cost comparison tool compares different electric vehicle models and shows the savings from switching to an EV. It features new and used EVs, different lease or purchase methods, and government purchase rebates available across Canada.

Plan and be flexible

EVs are in high demand, so it may take time to locate a specific vehicle. Joining waiting lists or considering used vehicles may mean faster access to an EV.
