Drive in Saskatoon

1. Sign up online

Tell us a little about yourself and your car by creating a driver profile.

2. Minimum vehicle requirements

Your vehicle must meet the requirements to drive with Uber in Saskatoon. Check if your vehicle is qualified.

Note: Under local regulations for Saskatoon, all driver-partners must display an Uber decal on their vehicle while online.

3. Share your documents

Take photos of the following documents and upload them to your account:

  • Drivers licence
  • Certificate of Registration
  • Proof of work eligibility
  • Mechanical Safety Inspection Certificate with a Light Vehicle Inspection
  • Criminal Records Check with the Vulnerable Sector

4. Safety screenings

You must pass two safety screenings to drive with Uber:

  1. Driver Abstract
  2. Criminal Records Check + Vulnerable Sector Check

5. Vehicle inspection

To be eligible to drive with Uber, your vehicle must pass a Light Vehicle Inspection by an approved mechanic. Upon passing, you’ll receive a Mechanical Safety Inspection Certificate with a Light Vehicle Inspection.

Once you receive your certificate, upload the certificate to your Uber account.

6. Register for GST

The CRA requires drivers to apply for a GST account within 30 days of your first trip with Uber. It takes a few minutes to complete and you’ll have your GST number instantly. Here are step-by-step instructions to help you with the process.
