Instructions for drivers

  • Tell us a little about yourself and your car by creating a driver profile.

  • Your vehicle must meet the requirements to drive with Uber in Saskatoon. Check if your vehicle is qualified.

Note: Under local regulations for Saskatoon, all driver-partners must display an Uber decal on their vehicle while online.

  • Take photos of the following documents and upload them to your account:

    • Drivers licence
    • Certificate of Registration
    • Proof of work eligibility
    • Mechanical Safety Inspection Certificate with a Light Vehicle Inspection
    • Criminal Records Check with the Vulnerable Sector
  • You must pass two safety screenings to drive with Uber:

    1. Driver Abstract
    2. Criminal Records Check + Vulnerable Sector Check

Find out how to receive your Driver Abstract online and how to complete your Criminal Records check with the Saskatoon Police.

  • To be eligible to drive with Uber, your vehicle must pass a Light Vehicle Inspection by an approved mechanic. Upon passing, you’ll receive a Mechanical Safety Inspection Certificate with a Light Vehicle Inspection.

Once you receive your certificate, upload the certificate to your Uber account.

  • The CRA requires drivers to apply for a GST account within 30 days of your first trip with Uber. It takes a few minutes to complete and you’ll have your GST number instantly. Here are step-by-step instructions to help you with the process.

Uber stickers

When your vehicle inspection and background screening have been approved, we will mail two Uber stickers to your mailing address.

Display the stickers. One sticker must go on the front passenger window and the other must go on the back windshield. The stickers are removable and only need to be displayed when you're driving with Uber.
