Improving the Driver app experience, together

See your feedback come to life with improvements to the Driver app. This season we’ve launched Android Auto, more detailed maps, and additional features.

Deliver confidently with detailed navigation

New updates to the map make handoffs even easier. Now, you’ll see a label specifying the exact dropoff spots. In some cases, you’ll also receive a message with instructions for building entrances and nearby parking recommendations.

Use the app on a bigger screen with Android Auto

Connect your device to your vehicle’s display to enjoy a more comfortable navigation experience on a larger screen while on the road. This feature is now available on both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

But wait, there’s more

We've added a few more improvements and features to enhance your experience.

Trends with your preferences in mind

We’ve updated Earnings Trends to help you make informed decisions about when and where to drive. Now, you’ll see either ride or delivery trends based on the types of trips you’ve selected in your Preferences. We’ve also updated the colors for easier readability on the go.

Navigate confidently with enhanced alerts

You’ll see clearer turn-by-turn directions and alerts to help you navigate issues on the road. Routes shown in the Uber app can help you avoid roadwork, accidents, closures, and other congestion.

Earn smarter with surge pricing on Apple CarPlay

We heard your feedback about adding more Driver app features to your vehicle’s display. Coming soon, we’re improving surge pricing areas on Apple CarPlay, enabling you to navigate to areas with higher demand and earnings, all on a larger screen.

Improved low-battery alerts

We’re updating our low battery alerts. Now, you’ll see a warning banner at the top of your screen, visible from anywhere in the app, when your battery is at 25% and at 15%.

Fuel savings with the Uber Pro Card

Drivers who pay for fuel with the Uber Pro Card can get up to 4% cash back and get up to 8% cash back at eligible public charging stations. The higher your Uber Pro status, the more cash back you get.**
