What do commercially licensed and insured drivers need to do?
Some people who drive with Uber are commercially licensed and insured for limousine, livery, black car, or private hire. Drivers seeking coverage for crashes on these trips should contact their commercial automobile insurance in addition to reporting the crash to Uber here.
What’s covered if someone else is at fault for the accident?
Coverage may vary depending upon who is at fault. Please complete the applicable incident report form above to start the claims process. During that process, an explanation of coverage will be provided upon submission to an insurance carrier.
What is my coverage if I’m at fault for a crash while driving with Uber?

If I’m in an accident, will Uber’s insurance cover a rental car for me?
No, it won’t. While your car is being repaired, you can explore available rental options on Uber’s Vehicle Marketplace to get back on the road. You can access the Vehicle Marketplace through the driver Crash Center, which appears in the Driver app if and only if a driver has been in an accident, reports it to Uber, and submits the incident to a US insurance carrier.
