We are piloting the introduction of estimated earnings per active hour on trip requests in a few cities in Chile, Argentina, and Mexico.
When choosing to accept a trip request, drivers consider many factors such as fare, distance, and time. Estimated earnings per kilometer is a simple way to compare trips requests that you receive.
How it works
Starting in April 2025, drivers will begin to see an earnings per kilometer badge on trip requests. This includes both Trip Radar requests and Exclusive requests.

How is estimated earnings per kilometer calculated?
Estimated earnings per kilometer tells you how much you would earn per kilometer during a trip. It’s calculated by:
- Starting with the upfront trip fare for the offer
- Dividing it by the total estimated distance for the trip:
- Driving distance from where you accept the trip to the pickup location.
- Driving distance from pickup location to the final destination

Why is this a good way to compare trips?
Estimated earnings per kilometer is a benchmark allowing you to quickly compare trip requests to one another, even if they differ in duration. It only includes the distance spent on a trip—not the distance driven while waiting between rides—which gives you a more consistent way to evaluate different trip requests..
