The Waste Management Phoenix Open is in full swing starting Monday, January 29 through Sunday, February 4. Here’s your guide for a smooth driving experience to and from TPC Scottsdale during the event.
We expect more ride requests all week long, especially between 1pm – 5pm Monday through Sunday, and 8pm – 11pm Wednesday through Saturday from our dedicated pickup location at TPC Scottsdale.
Getting to the Uber Zone
Our dedicated pickup and dropoff zone for Waste Management Open is located off of N 82nd St and E Princess Dr. To get there:
- Exit Princess Dr / Pima Rd (Exit 36)
- Head West onto Princess Dr.
- Right onto N Perimeter Dr
- (Show Trade Dress to Security Checkpoint)
- Left onto Mayo Blvd
- Left onto N 82nd St
- Enter lot off of N 82nd St and filter into the correct product row.
On your way to the Uber Zone, be aware of road closures and follow traffic signage closely.
Uber Zone pick up info
We will be testing an exciting new pickup process that you’ll get to experience firsthand. Here are some tips to help you navigate pickups at the Uber Zone:
- Pull forward into the designated queuing lanes (uberX, uberXL, or Premium (UberSUV/UberBLACK)). Follow the signs and instructions from onsite staff as pickups will work differently than usual. You will not receive requests in the app like normal.
- Open the Uber Driver app and tap the “Enter Code” button. When a rider approaches your vehicle and before they enter the car, type in the 6-digit code (PIN) they provide to confirm the trip.
- Start the trip and get your riders home safely.
Lot policies
The Uber Zone is an active pickup area reserved for driver-partners who are online for pickups. There is no parking. By remaining in your vehicle, you can be ready to move forward, and following signage and traffic personnel instructions while in the Uber Zone, you might avoid citations and/or towing that may result from leaving vehicles unattended. Lot policy does not allow loitering or soliciting.

Whether you have a quick question or an incident to report, we want to make sure it’s easy to get the help you need. For 24/7 phone support, just go to the Help tab of your Uber Driver app and find the blue phone icon. See how it works.
